1. General provisions

1.2 Predmet podnikania:
Online guitar education, including video lessons, learning materials and related services.
1.3 Scope:
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided through the Jakub Frank Guitar Academy platform.
2. Registration and user account
2.1 Registration is required to access paid services.
2.2 You must provide truthful and current information when registering.
2.3 The user is responsible for keeping their password secure.
2.4 An account may not be transferred to another person.
2.5 The minimum registration age is 16.
3. Membership plans and payments
3.1 Available plans:
- Basic membership: €0 / forever (limited content)
- Monthly membership: 15 € / month
- Six-month membership: 85 € / 6 mesiacov (14,17 € / month)
3.2 Payment terms:
3.2.1 Payments are processed by Stripe, a secure payment system.
3.2.2 We accept payment cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express).
3.2.3 The final price is shown before you confirm payment.
3.2.4 Membership renews automatically unless cancelled.
3.3 Automatic renewal:
3.3.1 Membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period.
3.3.2 We send an informational email approximately three days before renewal; this does not affect your responsibility to cancel in time.
3.3.3 You can cancel at any time without a penalty.
4. Services provided
4.1 Premium membership includes:
- Unlimited access to all video lessons
- Downloadable PDF materials (notation and tabs)
- New lessons according to the current publishing schedule
- Access to the member community
- User support
4.2 Service availability:
4.2.1 Availability may be temporarily limited by maintenance, a technical fault or a provider outage.
4.2.2 We aim to announce planned maintenance with reasonable notice.
4.2.3 The consumer’s statutory rights remain unaffected.
5. Cancellation and refunds
5.1 Cancelling membership:
5.1.1 You can cancel your membership at any time from your profile.
5.1.2 After cancellation, access continues until the end of the paid period.
5.1.3 Automatic renewal is disabled immediately.
5.2 Withdrawal and payment refunds:
5.2.1 Withdrawal rights apply under applicable law and depend on the nature of the digital service or content supplied.
5.2.2 If supply began before the statutory period expired, the assessment will consider the consent given and the extent of the service already supplied.

5.2.4 We will inform you of the outcome and any refund without undue delay.
6. Intellectual property and copyright
6.1 All content (videos, materials and text) is protected by copyright.
6.2 Content is provided for personal educational use only.
6.3 PROHIBITED:
- Downloading and redistributing videos
- Commercial use of materials
- Sharing access credentials
- Copying, selling or distributing content
6.4 A breach results in immediate account cancellation without compensation.
7. Liability
7.1 We provide educational services in good faith.
7.2 We do not guarantee specific results or skills.
7.3 We are not liable for harm caused by improper use of the content.
7.4 Liability is limited to the membership fee paid.
8. Termination of access
8.1 The provider may terminate access in the event of:
- A breach of these Terms and Conditions
- Unauthorised sharing of content
- Misuse of the services
- Failure to pay the membership fee
8.2 No refund is due when these terms are breached.
9. Personal data protection
9.1 Personal data processing is governed by the Privacy Policy (GDPR).
9.2 We process data needed for the account and service on a contractual or legal basis; consent is used only where required.
9.3 You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data.
10. Changes to these Terms and Conditions
10.1 The provider reserves the right to amend these terms.
10.2 You will be notified of changes by email at least 30 days in advance.
10.3 If you do not agree to the changes, you may cancel your membership.
11. Dispute resolution
11.1 We aim to resolve disputes amicably.
11.2 A consumer may contact the relevant alternative dispute resolution entity; information is published by the Slovak Trade Inspection.
11.3 The European ODR platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025; the current list of dispute resolution entities is provided by the European Commission.
